Whether it’s your first step towards becoming a professional pilot or simply for leisure, the private pilot license is perfect for you. You will learn to fly a single-engine aircraft for recreational or private use, also serving as the first step towards becoming an Airline Pilot (FROZEN ATPL).

The course contains all the necessary elements
to become a private pilot.

The course takes between 8 and 12 weeks, although we offer an express option of 4 to 6 weeks.

The course consists of 9 subjects that can be studied online or in person. With a minimum of 30 hours of instruction from top-level instructors. We conduct the course entirely in English.

PPL Course Composition

We provide both theory and flight training together for greater efficiency. The flight part consists of 5 hours in an FNPT II flight simulator and 40 hours of flight in a single-engine aircraft, including Cessnas 172, PIPERs 28 with Diesel engines, and Aspen Avionics “glass cockpit.”

You will have at least 25 hours of instruction and a minimum of 10 hours as the pilot in command. At all times, you will be monitored from the ground by a flight instructor. Finally, a practical skills test will be conducted by an authorized examiner from the (EASA).

Facilities and fleet

Aerodynamics Academy has unbeatable facilities, a campus of more than 62,000 m² next to the aerodrome runway dedicated exclusively to the training of aviation professionals.
An extensive fleet of aircraft, with a total of 17 aircraft owned: C150 ,C172, C172 RG, PA28, BE-76, equipped with FADEC system, GLASS COCKPIT ASPEN AVIONICS, diesel engines to mention some of its characteristics.
FNPT II ALSIM and FTD1 AIRBUS 320 SIMULATOR manufactured with a real cabin and equipped with the ORIGINAL A320 SOFTWARE.

EASA Examination Center

Aerodynamics Academy is an official EASA written exam center. In this way, our students can complete their training and take the exams in our own facilities, without having to travel to other places.


Malaga has an annual average of 300 days of sunshine, offering optimal weather conditions for flight training almost all year round, which allows us to accelerate the completion of the course practices.

Own maintenance team

Own maintenance team PART 145, PART 147, and CAMO that keeps our fleet in optimal conditions 24/7, always prepared for high performance and together with optimal weather conditions allow us to operate from Monday to Sunday.

European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 approval is a company-level certification to the European Commission’s regulatory standards for the design, production, maintenance and operation of aircraft components.

International recognition

Aerodynamics Academy is approved by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) with the center number E-ATO 226 and under EASA regulations (European Aviation Safety Agency), which allows it to work in practically all European countries.

How often do I need to renew my PPL license?

The license is renewed every 2 years from the date of issuance.

What do I need to start with PPL?
  • You will need to pass a Class 2 medical examination to be eligible.
  • Have a B1 English level proficiency.
  • Be at least 17 years old when you begin your theoretical phase.
Can I work in paid activities with this licence?

You cannot be financially compensated for flying an aircraft. This licence is designed exclusively for recreational use.

What if I want to continue with a Commercial Pilot licence after obtaining my PPL?

With the PPL, you have taken the first step towards becoming a commercial pilot. This licence is the initial part and a requirement for a Commercial Pilot. You can continue without any issues.

Where can I fly an aircraft?

In any country that is part of the EASA territory.
